Tropical Aviation Distributors (TAD) has served the needs of aircraft owners and operators in the Caribbean and portions of South America since our company was founded in 1984.  Our business efforts are devoted to the marketing and distribution of CESSNA AIRCRAFT COMPANY aircraft and other aviation related products.  We represent Cessna’s entire product line for 37 countries in the Caribbean and South America (Suriname, Guyana, and French Guyana), and are the Cessna Parts Distributor for Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia.  Cessna has built more general aviation aircraft than any other manufacturer, and is recognized as the industry leader in safety, reliability, performance and innovation.  In addition to selling new Cessna aircraft, we provide spare parts, product support, warranty administration, technical support, and

training coordination for Cessna aircraft operators on a direct basis and through Cessna Cessna approved service stations.

We also provide product support for Piper, Beechcraft, Fairchild, DeHavilland and other general aviation aircraft, and are authorized distributors for Honeywell (Bendix/King) Avionics, Gamin, Pratt & Whitney, and other manufacturers.  Hence, we are able to support the varied demands of the modern aircraft operator, who frequently operates aircraft of various types and models.

TAD is part of the Africair aviation group, which has owned and operated fixed base operations, charter operations, and maintenance facilities and has operated a fleet of Cessna fixed wing aircraft and Bell helicopters.  As a result of our experience from these varied operations, we possess a thorough knowledge of aviation operations which enables us to better understand and anticipate the needs of our customers.

Our company is headquartered in Miami, Florida (USA) where we operate a modern distribution center.  Our Miami base enables us to coordinate shipments from various vendors and to provide expedited delivery to our customers in the Caribbean and South America.  We are familiar with each country’s importation and customs regulations, as well as the best methods of shipment to each country.  For aircraft sales, our location also permits us to oversee the customization and pre-delivery process to ensure that our customer’s requirements are met.

TAD’s dedicated and experienced management, sales and product support team has over 300 years of combined aviation marketing and product support experience.  Our sales and product support personnel are fluent in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and German.  Our full time product support representatives travel to the Caribbean and South America on a continuous basis to assist our customers on support and technical issues.
